African Dance and Drumming Day

On the day

The children enjoyed learning how to play the Djembe and its use in West African culture.

They performed a song called Fanga which is a “call and response” song thought to help tribes announce their peaceful presence and determine if they were welcomed by other tribes.

We were very impressed by James who inspired and motivated the children to produce an amazing end of day performance.
